REVISE, REVISE, REVISE!! (Sorry, not a secret really!)
Use the following step by step guide to help you in your quest for success:
1) You have all been issued with the following booklet. Read it carefully.
Year 10 - Paper 2 revision and exam information booklet
Year 11 - Full GCSE revision and exam information booklet
Use the case study list and command words to work on your exam technique.
2) Use your revision guides (see Miss Price if you still want to buy one) to review ONLY the topics we have studied and YOU are being examined on (not ALL of them!)
3) CASE STUDIES - I know there are lots, but revise them and USE THEM - WHEREVER YOU CAN! This is the only way you will get the higher level marks in questions worth 4 or more marks. (And therefore is also the ONLY way you will achieve the highest grades on either tier).
4) Past papers/mark schemes: Practice with the real thing! Become familiar with what the exam paper will look like and test your knowledge and exam technique: Yr11 papers 1& 2 , Yr10 paper 2 only. Or ask Miss Price for paper copies.
5) Use the internet to extend and check your knowledge. The suggested websites will help.
TIP: If you are looking up info on a case study, when searching type 'geography' in too - it will refine the results to the most useful.
