A FANTASTIC PLACE
What do I need to complete?
You will produce a Case Study of a real geographical ‘Fantastic Place’.
Choose your own Fantastic Place, anywhere in the world! (It has to be a real place!)
Use a variety of resources, such as an Atlas, holiday brochures, the internet, photographs and library books. The more interesting and greater variety of your sources of information, the more interesting your work will be!
Layout:
o Front Cover
o LOCATION - Map showing location and description on a variety of scales.
o KEY FACTS - Introduction to the place - general information or amazing facts!
o CAUSES - History of the place/landform – how it came to be.
o EFFECTS - Current situation – is it still changing? How might it change in the future?
- Human impacts – is human activity having any positive or negative
effects on it?
o FUTURE – are there any plans in place for the areas future? Do you agree with them? Will this bring any problems or benefits? If there are no plans, what do you think should happen?
o Bibliography – list the resources you have used to get your information.
Wherever possible you should use a variety of presentation techniques, including maps, pictures, diagrams, tables and graphs.
