The Age of Stupid - showing at Whiteparish

You might have heard of The Age of Stupid, the new environmental film from director Franny Armstrong (McLibel). Pete Postlethwaite stars as a man living alone in the devastated future world of 2055, looking at old footage from 2008 and asking, “Why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance?”

The Age of Stupid had its premiere in Leicester Square in March in a solar-powered tent and celebrities arrived by bicycle or in a car running on recycled chip fat, before they walked along the green carpet. Ed Milliband, the Environment Minister, attended the premiere and he and Franny Armstrong have since enjoyed several climate change debates.
